About this place

Located in the charming town of Canadian, Texas, just a short drive from Amarillo, the Citadelle Art Museum is worth visiting any time of year. Explore our permanent collection in the Mansion and discover the latest traveling exhibit in our Gallery. Stroll through our beautiful gardens or enjoy a picnic on our scenic grounds. Originally built in 1910 as the First Baptist Church, this historic building was transformed into a family residence by the Abraham family in 1977. After 30 years, the Abrahams generously donated the mansion, its art, and gardens to the community, creating a public art museum for all to enjoy.

If you are a member here

A membership to The Citadelle Art Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.

  • NARM in Texas Art, history and cultural institutions. Not valid within 15 miles of here.

Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
