About this placeTanglewood Farm is a private working farm in Canton that breeds rare, heritage and miniature livestock, some of the smallest breeds in the world, including tiny goats, sheep and alpacas. Visits happen only through scheduled, appointment-only tours that run about 45 minutes to an hour, where kids can meet the gentle, hand-raised animals and hear about their history and bloodlines. Some tours touch on how fleece from the alpacas, goats and sheep is turned into clothing and crafts, and visitors may also meet a Native American storyteller who shares indigenous history and culture. There are no public restrooms, picnic areas, or food allowed on site, and as of this writing the farm has paused tours due to storm and plumbing damage, so families should contact them directly before planning a visit.
