About this place
Star City Skate & Play is a family entertainment center in Rocky Mount built around a roller skating rink, with a separate playground area, an arcade, and a dedicated area for birthday parties. Kids and teens can skate, play arcade games, or use the playground, and every child or teen must pay admission whether they are skating or not, while non-skating adults pay a $4 spectator fee. Outside food and drink are not allowed inside, and credit card payments carry a 4% fee. Saturday night sessions include a Hip-Hop skate that requires anyone under 16 to bring their own skates, with ID required for entry. Hours vary by day, including afternoon and evening sessions on Fridays and Saturdays, and the rink is closed Mondays and Thursdays.
