About this placeSOCO Skateland is an indoor roller rink in Trinidad that has been open since 1942, making it Colorado's oldest rink and the 13th oldest in the country. Kids and families can skate together, with rental skates and concessions available on site so no one needs to bring their own gear. The rink has a long community history, once known for Mrs. Simola's lemon pie and green chili cheeseburgers, and it keeps a memorial wall honoring past owner Bronco Billy who taught generations to skate. Beyond skate nights, the same building houses SOCO Clubhouse, a nonprofit youth program offering activities like tutoring, mentoring, cheer, youth hockey and life skills classes for local kids. It remains a family-run, community-focused spot where children can skate and take part in structured youth programs.
