About this place
The Skating Club of Central New York runs the Learn to Skate USA program, teaching children as young as 3 and adults the fundamentals used in figure skating, hockey, and speed skating. Group lessons take place on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30, with six semesters offered across the year and rental skates included in the price. Kids who progress past pre free skate level can move into full club membership, which comes with reduced ice and testing fees, a place in the annual ice show, and recognition for milestones like passing gold-level tests. The club also runs a competitive synchronized skating program, CNY Synchro, with its own tryouts and history of placing at the Empire State Winter Games.
