Skateworld San Diego is a family-run roller skating rink in a historic building in Linda Vista, offering public skate sessions for all ages as well as themed nights for different skill levels. Kids and families can skate together during regular sessions (admission $18, including three hours of skating, with $7 skate rental) or attend the cheaper Wednesday Family Night ($10 admission, $5 rental) from 5:30 to 9pm. Skaters 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older, though non-skating chaperones do not need to pay admission. The rink also runs a Skate Academy with lessons for beginners through advanced skaters, a snack bar, an on-site skate shop called Fritzy's, and youth roller derby programs. Parking is available in the front lot, behind the rink near the Linda Vista Library, and in the nearby grocery center.
