Raven Hill Discovery Center

Raven Hill Discovery Center is a hands-on museum in East Jordan that mixes science, history and art indoors and out. Kids can explore exhibits and an animal room inside, then head outdoors to make music in the Earth Tones Garden, check out geology on the Jurassic Park Walk, visit a One Room Schoolhouse, climb the accessible Tree House, cross a boardwalk to an Ancient World area with a pyramid, sphinx, Roman arch and Easter Island head replica, and try the newer Connections Trail with interactive learning stations. Admission is $10 per person, with children under 1 free, and most families spend 2 to 3 hours on a visit; picnic tables are available for bringing lunch. From Memorial Day to Labor Day the center is open daily 10am to 4pm, and the rest of the year it is open weekends only (Saturdays noon to 4pm, Sundays 2pm to 4pm) or by appointment. Accessibility features include sidewalks to the picnic pavilion and a restroom, golf cart rides in summer, drive-up access to the Schoolhouse and Ancient World areas, and an accessible dock at the pond.
