About this place
North Central Recreation Center is a public ice rink in Ebensburg that has served Cambria County families since 2004, located just off Route 422 and within easy reach of Johnstown, Altoona, and Indiana. Kids can join Learn to Skate classes, drop in for public skating sessions, or take part in youth hockey programs organized by age group such as 8U Mites, Squirts, Pee Wee, and Bantam, with training that covers skating, stickhandling, shooting, and game play. The rink also runs a summer skating and skills program and a multi-day youth hockey game camp combining on-ice drills with dry-land training. Figure skaters have access to freestyle sessions, and the facility offers a party room for birthday celebrations along with private ice rentals for teams, schools, or groups.
