Neptune Island Waterpark is a family water park in Hartsville, South Carolina, run by the City of Hartsville, with rides ranging from gentle to thrilling. Younger children have their own zone in Piratesville, a 5,100-square-foot play area with water jets, cannons and dumping buckets, while the rest of the family can bodysurf in the Castaway Bay wave pool or float along the quarter-mile Endless Abyss lazy river, where tubes are provided and free swimming is also allowed. Thrill seekers who meet the height requirements can try the three-story speed slide reaching 30 mph (48 inches minimum), the twisting Twin Sirens slides (42 inches with a life jacket or 48 inches without), and the side-by-side Trident Racers (42 inches minimum). Shaded lounge areas are available throughout the park, and private cabanas can be rented for special occasions. Note that tubes are not permitted in the wave pool, though life jackets are provided there.
