About this place

A cultural history museum in Unalaska that preserves the heritage of the Aleutian Islands. The permanent collection spans archaeology, ethnography, history and art, with around 500,000 items including artifacts from 9,000 years of human settlement in the region. Families can see Unangan baskets, historical photographs, and rotating exhibitions drawn from the archives. The museum welcomes visitors by appointment, and those arriving by cruise ship or ferry should call ahead to arrange their visit.

If you are a member here

A membership to Museum of the Aleutians carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.

Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
