About this place
Midway Ice Rink is an outdoor, refrigerated ice skating rink located in Midway, Utah, run by a community volunteer committee rather than a private company. Kids and families can skate outdoors in a scenic small-town setting, with a skate rental building and a warming hut on site for breaks between sessions. The rink grew out of an old natural-ice tradition on the town square and was later upgraded to a refrigerated surface, using some equipment donated after the 2002 Olympics. It remains a community-run operation, so families are supporting a volunteer-driven local project when they visit.
