About this place
Mid-State Kart Club is a long-running racing organization located just outside Springfield, Illinois, where private kart owners come to compete on a local track. Founded in 1960, the club has hosted generations of racers and keeps a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere rather than a high-pressure professional scene. It welcomes both newcomers and experienced racers, making it a place where kids who already have their own karts can get track time and parents can watch or take part in local races. Because it caters mainly to kart owners bringing their own vehicles rather than offering rentals, it suits families already involved in the karting hobby more than a casual drop-in outing.
