Free or discounted entry for members of AZA Reciprocal Admissions.
A zoo and aquarium with more than 1700 animals spread across 200 acres. Families can walk through habitats representing different parts of the world, watch sea lion shows, listen to keeper talks, and see elephants paint. There is a petting area with domestic animals, a puppet theater, and a safari boat ride across an African plains section where visitors see zebras and giraffes. The education department runs guided tours, classes, and overnight campouts on site.
A membership to Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
