Free or discounted entry for members of Time Travelers, ROAM.
A museum house in Raleigh telling the history of the region from colonial times through the early United States, with particular focus on the life of Colonel Joel Lane and the people enslaved on his plantation. Families visit by guided tour only, with costumed docents who personalise each visit and tell historical stories with attention to the human experiences behind them. The main house and kitchen building involve climbing steps, and strollers cannot be brought inside; virtual tours are available for those unable to access the buildings in person.
A membership to Joel Lane Museum House carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in these programs.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
