About this place
A contemporary art museum in Richmond showing rotating exhibitions, performances, and programs from artists working today. Admission is free for families and visitors of all ages. The Institute opened in 2018 in a building designed by architect Steven Holl and focuses on presenting new ideas and creating spaces for public conversation around art. It connects the local community to contemporary artists and arts organizations from around the world.
