A historic house in Springfield that serves as the official residence of Illinois's governor and first family. Visitors can tour the restored rooms to see the architecture, furnishings, and art collections that tell the story of the state's governors and their families. The house has been recently renovated and decorated to reflect Illinois history, with galleries dedicated to the state's first ladies. A nonprofit organization maintains the property and also oversees a second historic house, the Hayes Home, located downstate.
A membership to Illinois Governor’s Mansion carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
