About this placeThe History Center of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff is a local history museum with free admission to its exhibition halls, plus gardens on the grounds that are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Inside the Hunter Family Education Hall, families can browse more than 450 stories covering the region's past, from the era of the Paleoindians through more recent residents and events. The museum also hosts free evening lectures and tours throughout the year, along with some special ticketed events. It is wheelchair accessible, with accessible restrooms and a hearing loop for programs, and has a small onsite parking lot along with additional street parking nearby. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 1pm to 4pm, with the museum closed Sunday, Monday and Friday.
A membership to History Center of Lake Forest Lake Bluff carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
