Historic Columbia manages six historic sites in South Carolina's capital city. Sites include an 1820s urban estate, a museum of reconstruction in a former presidential home, and the residence of a free Black couple during the antebellum era establish a legacy that would enable five subsequent generations to thrive at the site. In addition to house museum experiences, the organization manages 14 acres of period-appropriate gardens that, through living collections and extensive wayside signs, collectively tell the story of 200 years of landscape history in the region.
A membership to Historic Columbia carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.
Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
