This free outdoor splash pad sits on the Town Center Plaza just north of Highland City Hall, open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Kids can run through the water features Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., though the pad closes daily from 2:50 to 4 p.m. for cleaning and shuts off automatically for about 10 minutes each hour. It also closes when temperatures drop below 75 degrees or during high winds and storms, so it is worth checking conditions before heading over. Children who are not yet potty trained must wear swim diapers with plastic covers, and rules prohibit alcohol, smoking, glass, diving, skateboards, bikes, and scooters on the pad. There is no charge to use it, but private party reservations are not offered.
