Glazer Children’s Museum

Big John is the reason a lot of families end up at Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa: a Triceratops fossil billed as the world's largest, with clear bubbles built into the display so kids can get right up to it and explore underneath the skeleton. The rest of the museum is play-focused rather than look-but-don't-touch, and the fort-building area, stocked with blankets, pillows, and oddly-shaped furniture, is the spot where kids tend to lose track of time. General admission is $27.95, or $22.95 for Florida residents with an ID or driver's license at check-in. Babies under 1 get in free. There's also an Access Pass at $5 for Florida residents on EBT, SNAP, or WIC, though that one has to be bought in person rather than online. Memberships run $125 for an individual (one named adult plus a guest per visit) up to $350 for the All-In Family tier covering one named adult and five members, both good for 12 months. The museum has a nursing area and is stroller-friendly and wheelchair-accessible, and food is available on site, so a full day here doesn't mean packing out or leaving early for a feeding.
