Coastal Wilds

Coastal Wilds is a ZAA-accredited zoological park near the Delaware beaches where kids get up close with more than 40 species of animal ambassadors, including otters, two-toed sloths and red kangaroos. Educators lead hands-on encounters and guided tours, sharing information about each animal and conservation while guests interact directly with the creatures. On site, families can also visit G.P. Mining Co., a themed gem mining attraction where children pan for gemstones, fossils, arrowheads or seashells before or after their animal tour. The park occasionally hosts self-guided special events tied to holidays or causes, usually about once a month, and sits just minutes from Bethany Beach and Ocean City for a full day out.
