About this place
City Skate Center is a roller skating rink in Portage run by City of Refuge Church, continuing the tradition of the former Spinning Wheels Roller Rink that has hosted local kids since 1961. Kids and teens skate to music and games during the open season, which runs from the first weekend of October through the end of April, with public sessions on Fridays from 6 to 9pm and Saturdays from 11am to 2pm. Admission is $7 per skater and includes quad or inline skate rental, while adult chaperones who are not skating get in free. Families can also book birthday parties for $125, which covers 10 skaters, 10 drinks, three pizzas, and seating for 12, with outside cake or cupcakes allowed but no other outside food.
