About this placeChildren's Museum of Phoenix is built inside the historic Monroe School Building in downtown Phoenix, which gives it a different feel than a purpose-built museum from the outside, even though inside it's fully modern: over 48,000 square feet across three floors, more than 300 play experiences, and a touch-everything rule rather than look-but-don't-touch. It's aimed at children from birth to age 10. Beyond the exhibit floors, the museum runs classes in music, yoga, math, and science, plus an Art Studio for kids who want to make something to take home. Non-member admission is $19, seniors 62 and up pay $18, and children under 1 get in free. Membership pricing scales with family size rather than a flat family rate: the Climber tier ($149) covers one adult and one child, up through the Adventurer tier ($389) for eight people, with Creator, Learner, Painter, Player, and Explorer tiers stepping up in between. If you know your household size, there's likely a tier priced for it exactly rather than rounding up. The museum has restrooms, food available, and on-site parking, and is open 9am to 4pm every day of the week.
