About this place
Carousel Acres is a family-run petting farm in South Lyon where kids can walk through and meet farm animals that were mostly bottle-raised on site. A visit includes a tour of the farm plus access to an on-site picnic and playground area, and pony rides are offered on weekends for an extra fee. Admission runs $12 per person for anyone age 1 and up, with pony rides at $8, and the farm is open Monday through Friday 10 to 2 and weekends 10 to 3. Beyond drop-in visits, the farm also runs mobile petting zoo and pony party services for birthdays, school events, and company picnics, and has been operating since 1993. Parents should note that party celebrations require renting the party room separately from general admission, and visitors are asked to wear boots if it has rained.
