BrattCave is an indoor bouldering gym on the second floor of the historic Cotton Mill Building in Brattleboro, next to the Vermont Jazz Center. It welcomes climbers of all ages and skill levels, with routes marked by colored tape and set by the gym's own community of climbers. A grotto area offers both challenging overhangs and easier options for beginners, cushioned by pole vaulting pads, and there are features suited to both little kids and bigger kids. The space also has strength training equipment like free weights, a punching bag, campus board and hang boards. Membership runs $20 a month for climbers 16 and up, $10 a month for kids 6 to 16, and is free for children 5 and under, with a waiver required for all climbers.
