About this placeBoulder Ridge Wild Animal Park is a sprawling zoo on nearly 100 acres between Grand Rapids and Lansing, home to more than 1,300 animals including giraffes, rhinos, zebras, penguins, and a sloth. Kids can hand-feed giraffes, get an up-close look at rhinos, walk through an aviary, and try a gem-mining area, with playgrounds and a fee-based train ride also on site. A food court is available for meals during a visit, and the park highlights its work with rare and endangered species as part of its conservation focus. Admission runs $22 for ages 12 and up, $20 for seniors 62 and older, $18 for kids ages 3 to 11, and free for children 2 and under, with fall hours of Wednesday through Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday noon to 6 PM, closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
