About this place

A museum in Sandpoint dedicated to Bonner County's past, from Indigenous settlement through the railroad era to the present day. Families can explore exhibits about local history, including artifacts from after the Ice Age Floods and objects relating to the region's railroad development. The museum holds newspapers dating back to the 1890s and runs a community archive project. School groups can arrange guided tours at reduced admission, and researchers of all ages can access the archives for family history work or building preservation questions, either independently or with museum staff support.

If you are a member here

A membership to Bonner County History Museum carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.

Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
