About this place
Big Bear Ice Arena is a rink in Denver offering skating programs for kids, teens, and adults, including public skate sessions alongside structured lessons. The Learn to Skate program covers all experience levels with six 30-minute group lessons on Monday, Saturday, or Sunday, working on balance, coordination, and basic skating skills; a helmet is required and rental skates are included if needed. Young hockey players can join the 8U program, which builds fundamentals, puck skills, and teamwork for kids born 2017-2020, while more advanced figure skaters can move into the Mile High Aspire sessions to work on jumps, spins, and performance skills. The arena also runs a full figure skating and hockey program lineup, so families can find options whether a child is stepping onto the ice for the first time or continuing to develop as a skater.
