About this place

A museum in Charlotte displaying modern art collected by a Swiss couple over several decades. The building, designed by architect Mario Botta, holds nearly 2,000 works spanning the twentieth century, including pieces by Picasso, Warhol, Calder, and Giacometti. A massive mirrored sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle stands in the plaza outside. The museum hosts jazz concerts on the first Friday of each month and runs music events throughout the week, alongside changing exhibitions that explore modernism's international reach and influence.

If you are a member here

A membership to Bechtler Museum of Modern Art carries reciprocal admission, so the same card is worth free or discounted entry at other places in this program.

Reciprocal programs are built for travel and most exclude places close to the one where you hold your membership, so this is worth the most when you are away from home. How reciprocal memberships work
