About this place
Bear Den Zoo & Petting Farm is a hands-on petting zoo where kids can get close to a mix of exotic animals, local wildlife, and farm favorites. Regular residents include kittens, chicks, bunnies, calves, llamas, and goats, with occasional special guest animals appearing throughout the season. Staff can't guarantee every animal will allow holding, so it's best framed as an up-close viewing and interaction experience rather than guaranteed cuddle time. The zoo is licensed and inspected as a member of the Wisconsin Zoo Association, and it may close on days with rain or extreme heat for the animals' welfare, so families are encouraged to call ahead or check the venue's Facebook page before visiting.
