Barnyard Petting Zoo is a family-run farm in Eighty Four that has offered hands-on animal visits since 1981. Visits are scheduled, private, guided tours lasting about 90 minutes, during which kids can bottle and cup feed, hold, and hug baby farm animals in the baby barn. The tour then continues through other barns to see giant birds, adult pigs, 4H market steer, pygmy and Nigerian goats, and even camels, zebras, and wildebeests. Cost is $250 for one to ten people, with an extra $20 per person beyond that, and visitors are asked to wear play clothes and closed-toe shoes since the activities take place outdoors. Tours must be booked ahead by phone, as drop-in visits are not allowed.
