About this place
Bakersfield Kart Raceway is a competitive go-kart racing track with a long history, first opened in 1958 and reestablished under its current ownership in 2007. Racers bring their own karts and gear, so this is geared toward families already involved in the sport rather than casual rental racing. The half-mile road course welcomes drivers of all ages and skill levels, with organized classes based on things like weight and technical requirements. Before a first visit, families should check the site's information on registration, required safety equipment, and race-day procedures, since practice sessions, hot laps, and races run on a set schedule each event day.
